Mandating Health Insurance Coverage or “Not doing anything”

The people that say "Not doing anything is not an option" are clearly not seeing the problems in this bill. (Which I will refer to as “Bills” here because the Senate and House Bills are being squished together to form something… something bad). Read it. If you can... it's 2,700 pages! And you'll see it's nothing more than a mandated tax.

Bad legislation is Bad legislation.

These bills collect the taxes right from the start. Right now. Yet the very people they are supposed to help can not benefit from the taxes they pay for at least 5 years!!!

Think about that... paying in for 5 years and getting nothing in return.

Again... and I've said this before. There is nothing in these bills to help the disabled. In the United States if you are declared disabled by the Federal Government you have a 24 month waiting period before you can apply for Medicare. Why is that? The Government wants the disabled to die so they do not have to pay for them. Nothing in these bills changes that!!!

And cutting Medicare payments to Doctors? Doctors are 15% of the cost of Health Care... the very people that provide the services. And these bills want to pay them less? Doctors will simply opt out of the system and it will be even harder to find anyone to see the patients. So patients with Obamacare will wait even longer to try and get help.

And "not doing anything" is not being proposed. What is being proposed is killing the horrendous legislation and starting fresh with reform that actually benefits the people.

Mandating coverage will not do anything to help those who can not get insurance.

People can get insurance now... they just have to buy it. All these bills will do is FORCE people to buy the coverage which is available now.

There is nothing in these bills that determines the coverage rates. Insurance companies will simply raise rates across the board to cover the increased cost of the "risk pool".

People do not have any real understanding of how insurance works. Insurance is all about managing risk pools.

Imagine car insurance where the Government said you must now cover drunk drivers regardless of how many offenses they have had in the past. Do you think that car insurance rates would go down?
