Cheap Ways to Increase the Security of Your Home

While I was browsing through some of my reports from Amazon I noticed something quite interesting.  One of the reports show that a person had purchased numerous home security items.  While that's not completely unusual as people once they get to Amazon often purchase items that are much different from what you have on your blog.  I was a little bit surprised at how inexpensive it was for these items in the way that they help this person secure their home.

The three items purchased were:

• The Buddy Bar Kicked Bar Door Jammer
• The General Electric GE 50246 Smart Home Doorstop Alarm
• Home Security Burglar Alarm System Cell Phone Dialer

The person who made this purchase seem to have really done their research.  The first item the Buddy Bar Kicked Bar Door Jammer is high in protection from burglars bursting through your door.  I went to the company's website to evaluate their product.  What I learned was the greatest steel and the strength of their product is a pure year to all their competitors.  Yet the products still retails for less than $60 in Amazon sells it for if I recall about $50.

The GE 50246 Smart home doorstop alarm has a different purpose from what I expected.  This device is quite simple in theory and operation.  The device features 120 dB alarm when activated. Pressure on the doorstop is what activates the alarm.  But what makes this item unique is you can move it from door to door in your home or take it with you when you travel.  By placing it under the door when someone opens your door it troops the alarm and gives you an audio signal that someone's entering the room.  This device is also very inexpensive it's less than $10.

The home security burglar alarm system cell phone dialer is something that I would not have thought of on my own. This is another very inexpensive device that detects intruders with a motion detector that automatically dials up to three stored telephone numbers.  I like the idea of being alerted when someone was entering my home with a simple message to my cell phone I think it's brilliant. This device sells for only $25 at Amazon and currently includes free shipping.

Clearly it for burglar wants to give in to your home is going to get into your home usually by breaking a window or breaking a patio door.  But why make it easy for the burglar?  By using the door jammer a person who is worried about someone breaking through their door while their home with a forced entry has much less to worry about.  The door jammer is strong enough to prevent the entry giving the person time to get to their telephone and call for help.  With the doorstop alarm you can be home during the day place the doorstop alarm in the area that you typically leave open and then no of somebody's coming your way.  This can be useful for a lot of things just knowing if I child coming home from school or for that comes through the door of someone comes home from work etc..  You can also take it with you when you travel and use it on your hotel door.

But for me the most interesting of these three devices is the cell phone dialer.  One thing that I've looked at purchasing for myself in the past is remote cameras that work over the Internet.  With a cell phone dialer and a remote camera you'd be aware of someone entering your house than you could log on from work and view your cameras to see if somebody was really there.

The great thing is the sum total of all of these devices is less than $100 and is very beneficial for those who are worried about the security of their own home.
